APP IN DEVELOPMENT
Apex Kart
Apex Kart is a go-kart driving telemetry app. It logs laps, shows the delta against a reference lap, and produces a post-session analysis of the drive.
What it records
Every lap is stored on its own — the time and the line taken around the track. The reference lap is either the fastest lap of the session or one you pick yourself.
The delta shows how far ahead of or behind the reference lap you are, section by section rather than only at the line. That is what reveals where time is gained and where it is lost.
After the session
Once the session ends, the app puts together an overview: laps compared against each other, the places where time is repeatedly lost, and progress across the session.
The goal is not to show as many numbers as possible. The goal is to answer one question: where is the next tenth.
Where we are today
The app is not available for download. As with our other projects, here is what works and what doesn't.
Lap and lap-time logging. Delta against a reference lap. Post-session analysis.
The user interface and processing of the recorded data.
Public release. No date set.
Apex Kart is built alongside our main development work and has no deadline. Closer to release we will publish the platform, how data is captured, and the terms of use here.
